What this is about?

So , I figured I would start this all out by telling you all ( lets hope there's a bunch of you- at least, eventually).

As you can read in my profile I am currently a nanny and a full time student at PSU. I have been in the childcare industry for about 8 years. These years include watching /nannying for an Autistic child, working at a treatment facility, working at group homes, being a foster parent, and today nannying for a child diagnosed with Autism and Cereal Palsy.

I am going to school to be a Special Education teacher, but my goals reach far beyond just teaching. I want to help all those with disabilities- I want the world to understand how life in their shoes works, I want parents to be able to parent these children so they don't end up being placed in facilities or "homes", and most of all I want these children to really accomplish everything they can.

I am starting this blog for a couple different reasons. one being to get me used to sitting down and writing everyday or so ( to prepare for a book writing), and the other to see where this can go and who I can reach.

I welcome all comments, good and bad as well as suggestions. Please come to me with all questions and concerns.
